Abbott Marshlands

Situated at the intersection of two major interstates in one of the most densely-populated areas of New Jersey, the Abbott Marshlands are a rich mosaic of lush marsh and meandering tidal streams. They are home to a staggering variety of wildlife and birds – including twelve species of winter ducks – and serve as a stop-over for myriad migratory songbirds. It is also the place that launched my passion for both birding and photography.
